Rough week

Ever have one of those weeks where things just seem "off"? Well that's been my week thus far.

I'm very pleased to hit a new pb for my LSD run this week: 70 min ~ 9km. I'm slowly building my base but man I'm pretty sore today.

I decided to forgo my training and make this a recovery day. There is no sense in pushing myself and risking injury. Tomorrow is a huge day, 3km swim, and then a 1:20 brick workout. 1 hr spin class, 20 min run.

A few cool things did happen today though.

- I'm getting a head start on my Massage Therapy program and taking a course this spring/summer on Tuesday and Thursday nights. Class begins on May 2nd until the end of July, 7 hrs a week which isn't too bad. The great thing is by getting this class out of the way this Summer, I'm freeing up 115hrs from my Fall course load. That's 115 more hours to train!!!! :)

- I've decided to leave the Y and will now train at the Talisman Centre previously known as Lindsay Park Aquatic Centre. The Talisman is 2 blocks away from where I'll be going to Massage Therapy School so the move was inevitable. It's going to be much more convenient.

I'll still be teaching a spinning class at the Y this summer and will probably still go to Duane's 10:30am Friday Spin class (on weekends I'm not racing). I've been a fixture in that class for over 3 yrs.

I do my first swim at the Talisman on Sunday. 50m pool. YAY!!

Oh, one last thing.. in case you're wondering why I put up a picture of the Cervélo Soloist Carbon. That's my new road bike. I pick her up next week :)
